E-Shield™ delivers high-purity Tocopheryl Acetate — the most widely used and thoroughly safety-documented form of Vitamin E in cosmetic formulation. The acetate ester provides dramatically superior oxidative stability vs. free tocopherol while delivering identical in-skin biological activity: upon application, skin esterases cleave the acetate group to release active α-tocopherol, which integrates directly into cell membranes to protect lipids from peroxidation.
